FAQs

What are the competition
Application dates?

Applications Open: January 6th, 2024

Applications Close: January 20th, 2024

Applicants Informed: January 27th, 2024

What do i get if i'm
selected to compete?

We will be providing you with a Swag Bag (filled with goodies from us and our generous sponsors), a performance slot in the show, you will keep all of the money you receive on stage, snacks and water the day of the show, and the chance to win some badass cash + prizes if you place 1st, 2nd, or 3rd in either category.

what will the stage
look like?

The stage will be viewable from 360 degrees. You will be surrounded by guests. There will be a permanently mounted pole (set to spin/static).

We will have stage dimensions available for those who are accepted into the show. We are going bigger and taller than in previous years.

how does pole
testing work?

On the day of the show, you will have an allotted amount of time to test the stage, pole, and any piece of your routine that you'd like. You must show up on-time and be ready for your pole-testing when we call your name for the pole test. We will have more information on this in your Performer Packet.

tell me more about
the theme.

We kept the theme "Old Gods" as it opens up an array of Gods from different cultures:

Norse, Aztec, Egyptian, Roman, Hindu, Celtic, Mayan, and you may even choose to reference Science Fiction (i.e. Cthulhu), etc.

Think outside the box when deciding your concept. All competitor concepts that take the stage feel unique from one another.

What are the competition application requirements?

Requirement #1: $66.60 non-refundable application fee. Your payment is available at the time of application form submission on the website.

Requirement #2: Submission video at least 1 minute in length. Link to YouTube or Instagram accepted.

Requirement #3: The concept of the performance must be on theme, descriptive, and thoughtful. This does not have to be your final concept. If your concept is not aligned with the theme, we will be unable to admit you as a competitor to the show.

What are the basic
show rules?

We're not a big fan of rules, so we'll
keep this relatively short + sweet:

  • Rule #1: All genders are welcome.

  • Rule #2: Heels or no heels.

  • Rule #3: Nudity is not allowed.

  • Rule #4: Your concept must align with the theme.

  • Rule #5: We're ruled by respect. Our experience is sacred: remain kind and compassionate.

  • Rule #6: Only yes means yes. Consent is law.

  • Rule #7: Must be 18+ to apply.

  • Rule #8: We value the strange. We celebrate the dark, odd, and strange. Fuck normal.

  • Rule #9: Perform hard, perform safely. Your psychological and physical safety is our priority.

what if i don't know my competition level?

If you are unsure of your level, let us help you decide! We promise we don't bite... too hard.

Can i use live animals in
my performance?

We have chosen not to accept live animals in any performances. The presence of live animals in rehearsal or on stage can create safety and health hazards for the cast, crew, guests, and the public. To protect those who might be at risk of injury from a live animal, who might have specific sensitivities (allergies or phobias) to certain types of animals, and to prevent the possibility of disease transmission, we have decided to prohibit the use of animals during our productions.

does my submission video have to be on theme?

The submission video does not have to be on-theme or related to your concept.
We just want to get a general idea of your style and your level (to better help place
you if, you need assistance).

are there any props that
are not allowed?

We love creative props! However, anything that requires excessive clean-up is not allowed. We want to create a safe and fair performance environment for each competitor. If you have a question regarding the use of a specific prop, please reach out and we'll be happy to brainstorm how we can make it happen for you.

what if i don't get
accepted into the competition?

If you are not accepted into the competition, you will be given the option to accept an
Individual Ticket to the show.

are there competition levels? what are they?

Yes, there are two levels in this
competition to select from:

The Unholy: You're brand-new or just began joining the world of pole competitions or public showcases. You are not a paid performer. You may not be able to invert yet or are just working on cleaning up your floor or aerial inverts. You look at Level 4 and Level 5 performers, and you're like... I hope I don't have to compete against those humans.

The Wicked:  You've been doing this for a while and you're comfortable getting on stage and giving it your all. You may get paid to perform or instruct on the regular. You are a strong inverter and can throw combos and advanced tricks with ease. Essentially, you're doing some crazy shit on the pole and you execute all of your moves skillfully.
